Fresh, exciting readings of these beloved concertos featuring the artistry of three outstanding young Russian pianists! Peter Dmitriev was born in 1974. At the age of seven he was admitted into the Central Musical School of the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow. At the age of eight, Dmitriev gave a public performance with orchestra of Bach?s Concerto in F minor, and shortly afterwards, works by Haydn and Beethoven. In 1995, aged 21, he took the First Prize and a Gold Medal, as well as three special awards, at the Sixth International Music Competition in Tokyo. Vladimir Mishtchuk was born in 1968 in Leningrad, where he later studied at the Conservatory with Prof. Kravtchenko. Mishtchuk has been a prizewinner in various international competitions. He has concertized in his native Russia, as well as in many European countries, not to mention tours of Japan and the United States. Since 1993, Vladimir Mishtchuk has held the appointment of Professor at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Andrei Pisarev, born in 1962, began his musical education at the age of seven and graduated at the Moscow State Conservatory. In 1983, still a student, he won the First Prize in the Rachmaninov Piano Competition in Moscow, and 1991 the First Prize in the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg. Until 1973, conductor Samuel Friedmann performed throughout the Soviet Union. In 1973 he emigrated to Israel and began his international career.
