Their Alternative/Punk Album...Las Chicas dig this!!!
Yohan Loud | Long Island, NY | 07/25/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is probably their best album besides the new one(P)and Twinaleblood [....] The metal is all but gone on this album and is a natural progression from Twinaleblood. Pyogenesis lost most of their metal fanbase with this album, but gained many new Alternative fans in Europe. Because of this progression they haven't got much attention here in the States and their metal fanbase has all but diminished. This album has no filler and there is a vast improvement on the vocals and lyrics. It seems that Flo has put for input on the lyrics here. "Love Nation Sugarhead" is the best track here; which features German Techno to give it a club pressence. "Alternative Girl" is a cool song that gives props to girls that dress dope and come to the shows. "Cheapo Speakers" is one of the heavier songs that rips on Tim's [cruddy] car speakers. "Blue Smiley's Plan" is about picking up girls and if you don't suceed, try,try again. Tim's vocals have improved dramatically on Twinaleblood and are even better on this album with tracks like "Silver Experience" when he does the choruses. "Sehnshuct" is an emotional number that gives respect to a German Band and features German Lyrics and more Techno. The rest of the album is great and this is the first album I bought from them in 97. Their older stuff is Atmospheric/Goth Death metal ( which is Aweeeeesome) while their newer stuff is Alternative with Punk and Techno elements thrown in. This band in the past four years should be put in the same class as Pavement, Folk Implosion, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins(Their 1st album), The Breeders and the Great Nirvana. This band plays real alternative and not that [crud] that is called alternative on MTV. If this band got radio play in the states I'm sure that they will be huge here. By the way this is a great album to play at a house party."
