CD Reviews

DipSet is all around the world...

"With all the fans the Diplomats have, there are still lots of people who seem to have something against them... mostly "old-school" hip-hop fans it seems. But no matter what, you have to appreciate the scale that they are taking their music to - basically running the mixtape scene right now, releasing their own solo albums, as well as colab CDs... all of which are among the best rap records around. And now expanding to Europe... first (I think) with S.A.S. from London, and now to Paris with about 10 or so of the hottest up and coming French rappers. Not only is this brilliant from a CD sales perspective, but their music is consistently fire, so when they are releasing tons of CDs, it isn't compromising their quality.

Anyways - getting to the point, this CD has a different feel than other Diplomats records, partly because it's all produced by Agallah "The Don Bishop", plus the French influence on it.

Even if you haven't liked the Diplomats in the past, I definitely recommend giving this one a chance - really has a great flow and feel to it all thru the album.
