Puffy AmiYumi are a Japanese J-Pop phenomenon. Formed by Ami Onuki and Yumi Yoshimura in 1996 an anarchic and extremely entertaining mixture of influences including The Supremes, The Roches, The Ramones, Stereolab, The Who, and even Black Sabbath. "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi" is the soundtrack for their highly successful animated Cartoon Network series of the same name. (Series two currently features on the CN in England & Europe and a range of merchandise from the Mattel toy company has recently been launched) Arrivederici Baby provide Puffy AmuiYumi with their first European release. This expanded edition comprises the "Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi" album in its entirety enhanced by three high quality additional tracks; 'Kazemakese Futaritabi' 'Sui Sui' 'Puffy Rule' tracks from the albums '59' and 'Spike'. The Arrivederci Baby! label has been responsible for widely acclaimed, high calibre contemporary international pop releases including Seagulls Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her, Juliana Hatfield, Bleach and Mirah.
