"I first heard of Prizm & Eclipse from Christopher Lawrence's excellent United States of Trance cd. The first song on that cd, is the first song of this cd, Genesis.Anyway, the first song, Genesis, is breakbeat hard trance (and fairly melodic), and a truly great song. The next few songs on this are 'regular' breakbeat (for lack of a better term), but pretty good breakbeat although many have the somewhat silly vocals you find in it. But starting about halfway through, the breakbeat trance starts up again, with Kinetic. The songs are extremely varied. Each one sounds quite distinct, with it's own beat structure, and in the case of the trance songs, the sound or style of the synth changes. The cd sort of has a strange format. The first song doesn't appear to be mixed, but the next 8 songs are. But the last doesn't appear to be. Actually, I think mixed might be overstating it, they are sequenced, so they flow into another, rather than mixed, in which they overlap a bit. In any case, it's nice to listen to, since there no breakes. It's also pretty long, clocking in at just over 72 minutes..."
