"I've been a PBF fan since '89 when i got their first lp, 'Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz' on cd. Back then, most LA glam acts were little more than a tax write off but still, PBF had promise. By the early 90's, glam was stick kicking around in LA, but as soon as Nirvana came on, they were all gone. But, much to my surprise, i found Porn Stars (it was released in '99) and fell in love all over again. The production is way down, mostly because they went from recording for MCA to an indie label. They also re-recorded 'Rock n roll outlaws', 'Leather Boyz', 'I wanna be with you', '48 hours', 'your momma won't know', and 'set the night on fire'. Hmm. That tells me they either loved the originals so much they wanted to re-record them so we all hear them again, or they were short on material. I'm going for the latter because there are also 2 covers on here. Still in all, i love this album. Other than 'I wanna be with you', the original versions of the older songs are better, especially 'leather boyz' and 'set the night on fire'. Style wise, the band looks great, although visually, Vinnie Chas is missed. Also, the addition of former Big Bang Babies guitarist Keri Kelly is interesting, but i don't think this band needs 2 guitarists. Overall, it is fun glam rock. It should be noted that their original '89 release is much sought after (...) for glam rock collectors."
An excellent hard rocking album

"I was not expecting this album to be this good, but it was. An absolutely incredible, well-polished album that brings back the glam / hard rock days like nothing that has come out in recent memory. A must have for those who like to rock or are nostalgic for the old 80s glam sound. If you like grunge, go somewhere else....if you like to rock, you've found your heaven...."
WOW!!! Glam-Slam Rock-n-Roll

"I was never a fan of PBF back in the day, but after listening to this, I can not for the life of me figure out why. This album is SOLID. The rockers R-O-C-K, and the ballads are... well, let's just say they don't remind me of Winger, and that's a good thing. PBF sound to me like a cross between Faster Pussycat (especially the vocals), Tuff, and LA Guns. The hooks in the songs (and I mean ALL of the songs) are on a par with Poison's "Fallen Angel" - if this had come out in '87 or '88 and the band had any gotten any media attention, this would be in everyone's collection. If you're into the Hollywood/Sleaze/Glam/Metal sound, get it now - it's that good."
