The group's best songs contain a witty, wise-guy lyrical sensibility, while the music throbs with punk/surf-style intensity. CD ReviewsThis one outshines em all. 12/29/1998 (5 out of 5 stars) "I never though I would listen to an album more than the 600 times I listened to Possum Dixon. Now, I can truly say that Star Maps is the all time CD for most times played. Why? Because Ray (the keyboard) does things to you that you want done to you in ways you don't even realize you want. I've played this record for 50 people. Each one of them says the same thing. First, who is this? Second, this is so differnt from the usual stuff on the radio. Third, man, I bet this would be a great live show. Fourth, Hey I bought that Star Maps CD. Fifth, I can't stop listening to this thing! If you are smart enough to get to this review, you are so close to having a disk that will absolutely make you happy every time you hear the opening strain. You will also feel slightly depressed when the CD is over. Not because there are any unhappy tunes, but because you don't want it to end. Trust me, you will hit replay until the digits wear off."
