The Greatest Punk Band You Never Heard Of
J. Nelson | PENNSYLVANIA!!!! | 08/13/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Nineteen Ninety-Six was a great year to be a punk in the great state of Pennsylvania. Bands like Weston were getting nationwide interest and bands like Good Riddance and Swingin' Utters were playing in rinky dink little towns because they heard the kids there made it worth it. And then there were bands like Plow United. Wait, there weren't bands like Plow United. They were one of a kind. The picked three chords and played them over and over again, yet, every song sounded fresh. They wrote songs with passion and played them with pride, but never took themselves too seriously. They toured across the USA a few times, but were content to play the same little towns in PA, Delaware, New York and New Jersey over and over again. Every show was electric. They simply were the best band to come out of PA. Period.

That brings us to Goodnight Sellout. Just a great punk rock record from start to finish. Every song is heavy and every song is fast. Of course, when I say fast, that is an understatement.

The entire album has been remixed and remasterd, so it sounds better than it ever has. And if that's not good enough, the Selt Titled Album, with their classic song Spindle, is also included remixed and remasterd. Just hearing the Self Titled albums sound this clean is worth the money alone. Not only are these two incredible albums on one disc, but they also come with two bonus tracks that were only available on vinyl.

If you only buy one punk rock album, it should be Milo Goes to College, but right after that, you should pick up this one. If you aren't happy with this album, then you're braindead."
