Great Music, Poor Performance

"These Hindemith pieces are among my favorites. Unfortuately, Piet Kee plays them so poorly I don't think even Hindemith would recognize them. Where Hindemith likes his music flowing freely, these are plodding and disjoint. Some pauses sound suspiciously like the performer searching for the right keys. If you're looking for the Hindemith sonatas, don't waste your money on this CD. Go get one of the other performances that are now available.

The Reger pieces are played well enough, but I wasn't overly fond of them either."
