CD Reviews

Still a classic

"I still have the vinyl on this album and all of the other Peter Green records. One of the most under appreciated guitarists of his time. He was Fleetwood Mac in my opinion when they were a band of substance. Not that there's anything wrong with the direction the traveled after he left. Just not the same roots blues band when he started it. Peter Green should be in every blues or guitar fan's collection."
King Green's comeback

"First off Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac is my favorite blues band British or not so I might be a little bias, But I enjoyed this album even though its a different Green, if you ask me its the only solo album of Peter Green I would buy (unless you like watered down disco/blues written by another person or the Peter Green playing some Robert Johnson stuff I havent really given a chance) Anyway this whole album is cool, even if they say Snowy White did some if not all the leads. its not the blues but its the Greatest guitar player/songwriter's last worthy album (in my opinion) Peter Green is a God to me, I wish things were different for him, If he would have kept his mind I believe they would have put Green next to Hendrix as the two best of all time."
I like it that way

"I don't care if In the skies is too simple or even dull for blues purists... I just like it. There's a mystic, burned out quality to this music (to me). Often I'm burned out myself... so I feel kind of understood. You can tell that the man who wrote these songs went through hard times. So to me the music sounds authentic. That's what I'm looking for."
