Synopsis

Album Description
Peter, Bjorn And John formed in Stockholm in the late 90s. They have released two albums prior to 2006's ?Writers Block? .?Young Folks? is a duet featuring Swedish songstress, Victoria Bergsman of The Concretes on vocals. It?s a taste of summer - the perfect uplifting pop song that also boasts some of the best whistling this side of the dock of the bay. Peter Bjorn And John chose Victoria from The Concretes for this duet because they all instantly and unanimously agreed they love her voice. It effortlessly compliments the track with her breezy nico- esque style.

CD Reviews

Swedish indie Rock
A. Watanabe | Oakland, Calif. | 12/22/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This song was a UK's smash hit in the summer of 2006 but has never been famous in the US (at least until now: Dec/2006), very unfortunately. It has become a hit song in Japan in Dec/2006, too. A funky English-singing band has been popular in their native country (Sweden) since 1999 but this catchy song has made them very famous in many countries. Victoria Bergsman, a fabulous Swedish rocker, is a vocalist of her band, The Concretes. She sings in English, too. If you like this song, do check out some cool songs of The Concretes, like "Chosen One" or "On The Radio." Along with Emilia (Rydberg) of "Big Big World", this band is the representation of modern Swedish tunes!"

"This is a great, catchy song that is a superb return to classical folky sound of the 60's, with a current popy sound to it. I highly recommend. It."
