Synopsis

Album Description
With his third formal release to date, Washington, DC's own PAUL MICHEL has stripped down to the purest essence of his sound (an acoustic guitar and his trademark voice) to deliver the darkest, most vulnerable material he's ever performed. Gone is the joy and optimism of "These Are All Beautiful Things," the critically-acclaimed album that found its way onto numerous "Best of 2005" top ten lists the world over. In its place, we find the universal theme of a man losing his long-term partner while out on the road, returning to catastrophe, hitting rock bottom, and finding solace only in his music. "Revolve" is the sound of the human spirit attempting to climb from its lowest depths, 6 songs reflecting the hope for better days. The soaring vocal qualities found in tracks like "Desperate Hours" and the title track itself is both heart-wrenching and magnificent all at once. Limited exclusively to 1000 copies, "Revolve" documents an artist in transition. Long gone are! the "Beautiful Things." In late 2006, PAUL MICHEL will unload the aptly titled "A Quiet State of Panic," his next full length opus. "Revolve" sets the stage and gives us a sense of redemption lying in wait.
