CD Reviews

The best lounge vocal album of 70's
Hideyuki Nakazawa | OTAKU, TOKYO Japan | 06/14/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is incredible!!What a great album!
Especially her version of "Cry Me A River"(funky rare groove!) and Ennio Morricone's bossa nova classic"Metti una sera a cena"(in gorgeous arrangement!).If you love early 70's groovy lounge sounds, buy it now.You won't regret.I promise."
ITALIAN POP GEM! A CLASSIC!
VINCENT P TARSITANO | PORT ORANGE, FL USA | 04/12/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I brought this album [vinyl back then] back with me from my first trip to Italy. I had seen Ms. Pravo perform on TV while there, and was very impressed with her look, voice and artistry. The album itself is a wonderful and varied sonoric landscape. Highlights for me: "Tutt'al piu" [which is by far one of the very best 70's pop tunes, and sounds like it was arranged by Beethoven, hence a very classical feel, truly powerful], a Jose Feliciano translation, "Torna insieme a lei," the two David Shel Shapiro songs, "Chissa' come finiro'," [smooth and laid back] and "Un poco di pioggia" [powerful and rousing, would have won her a Grammy had it been released in the U.S.], her beautiful rendition, in French, of "Il poeta," her very successful version of Brel's "If You Go Away," translated as "Non andare via," and, of course, her great version of Morricone's "Metti una sera a cena." Any lover of '70s classic Italian pop couldn't miss with this wonderful album."
