Paillard is on a par with no one else. His interpretation of French music is full, grande and heavy with brass. No fluttering of single string and single trumpet trills here as in other interpretations. You experience a wall of sound that is regal. The hunting horns in this recording are natural instruments so that the tuning is more realistic to the original performances. Highly recommended as a treat to the ear."
