"Released in 1973 as the soundtrack album from the movie of the same name 'Crystal Voyager', is an Australian surf classic. Alongside 'Morning Of The Earth', Crystal Voyager defines a pivotal era in Australian culture.



Where the Crystal Voyager soundtrack differs from M.O.T.E. is the showcasing of the talent of G. Wayne Thomas. On M.O.T.E. Thomas had to share space with others (mainly Brian Cadd), on this soundtrack however, he was given full artistic responsibility & the effort he put into it shines through again & again. The highlights being 'Changes', 'Into The Blue' & 'Clouds Cry'.



I'm still, after over 30yrs, wondering why this album lays basically unrecognised by the Australian listening public & ignored. A big thank you to the Japanese, who for some reason, have taken Crystal Voyager into their hearts & released this fine soundtrack onto CD."
