"Nice voice, but CD has only 12 tracks.

Also,it is a re-recording,from 1989,

not the ORIGINAL RECORDINS from the 60s

and 70s."

"What can you say, if you like light Italian music well then this CD will not dissapoint you. I love most of the songs on this CD and find myself playing it quite often in my car or at home. If you are a true fan of Italian music you will like this CD."

"Adorable italian singer whose recorded legacy seems very eclectic but strangely enough, her pop music is now hard to find and the only album constantly in the print is this collection of italian folk songs.

Apparently recorded at various times, songs are presented here as one CD and it's timeless beauty - true, every cliche about italian music is used (singalong chorus, accordeon, mandolines) and it does sound like music background for pizzeria, but that's beside the point.

Berti's voice is clear, pure and really beautiful and when she sings - either as solo or backed by joyous choir - listener's heart leaps with happiness, that's how good she is.

Besides having a naturally attractive voice and being equally effective on both melancholic and happy songs,Berti did important thing with savings these old songs from obscurity and recording them for posterity - they are collected from different parts of Italy and probably ged at least a century previous to WW2,therefore remembered only by older population - beautiful, happy and joyous songs sung on the street celebrations around the country.

Croatian singer Lidija Percan was so enamoured of this album that she recorded a whole series of old folk music like this and she called it "Canzone di una Volta""
