Synopsis

Product Description
Brenda Hounam, a mother of two, has Alzheimer Disease. When Brenda went to St. Thomas, Ontario in January 2004 to speak about how this disease had affected her, little did she know how much her life would change. She spoke openly of her sadness at the thought of being unable to recognize her own son and daughter and especially of the pain and suffering this would cause them. A music lover, Brenda thought a song would be the best way to remind her children of her love for them. By a stroke of fate she met Sara Westbrook, a singer and songwriter from St. Thomas. Sara contacted fellow songwriters Andrew Ang and Matthew Tishler, and with Brenda's blessing, the trio wrote One More Memory. Written from the perspective of a person suffering from Alzheimer Disease, One More Memory projects a message of hope as it reminds loved ones that although a mind has been claimed by disease, they will always be loved and never truly forgotten. One More Memory was produced in a whirlwind 6-weeks, by a team of dedicated professionals who donated their time to support this worthy cause, including producer Troy Bynoe, Canadian Idol drummer Wilson Laurencin, guitarist Justin Abedin from Jacksoul, the JUNO-award winning Toronto Mass Choir, and one of North America's premier recording studios, Metalworks. All proceeds from the sale of One More Memory are donated to help those affected by Alzheimer Disease.
