The Euro-Anthem

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I recently went to Europe this summer and I heard this song being played on MTV all the time. I heard it was a hit in Italy, France, Germany, Romania, and several other countries. So naturally I picked up the singles. This single is definitely the best in terms of variety of remixes.

Original Romanian Version:: This is the version played on MTV and it's a pretty catchy version. It has very sparse instrumentation compared to other places, however it's catchy as ever.

Almighty Mix:: Almighty has been known to make regular songs into dance anthems and this song is no different. With a fast techno beat behind it, "Dragostea Din Tei" becomes a peak-hour anthem. Really enjoyable, but does it compare to Italy's DJ Ross?

DJ Ross Extended RMX:: This mix starts off slower than the Almighty mix, however it packs more energy in my opinion and it certainly does have that Euro-feel compared to Almighty. In addition, it has this instrumental part of the song that just screams for dancing. My favorite remix, and perhaps my favorite song.

UNU In The Dub Mix:: Is perhaps the worst remix of this song ever. It doesn't really highlight that fact that it's an anthem and it should be remixed into a high-paced way. However, it does kinda bring another part of the song out: a slower part. It brings a unique feel to the song, but it's slow and boring for the most part.

Almighty Dub:: This version is pretty much the same as the Almighty mix, however this mix is w/out vocals.

Overall:: This song is excellent, and I recommend this anybody who's looking for some good dance music regardless of whether or not it's in English. In addition, the remixes give it life that it needed after getting bored of listening to the original version."
Awesome!!! Definitely buy it!

"ENGLISH:This is a first, indeed! The very first Romanian song (with words in Romanian language) to hit Number 1 all over Europe this summer (2004). I am from Romania and I bought this song last year on a trip over there. But this year when I went again to visit Romania, I found out that everybody knew about this band, O-Zone, all over Europe. The hit song was number one in Italy, Germany, and number 3 in UK. It was actually listed as Number 1 in Billboard Europe Top 20. I wish Amazon.com would have links here on the web site to be able to listen to the versions that are on this CD. This CD is called Part 2 CD Single, but it is actually a Maxi-Single CD containing 5 versions, as follows:1. Dragostea Din Tei (Original Romanian Version) 3:33
2. Dragostea Din Tei (Almighty Mix) 6:58
3. Dragostea Din Tei (DJ Ross Extended Remix) 6:22
4. Dragostea Din Tei (Unu In The Dub Mix) 3:39
5. Dragostea Din Tei (Almighty Dub) 6:01As you can see, the famous European label Almighty got their hands on the song and you have a cool, almost 7-minute remix here, as well as Italy's DJ Ross took it and produced a High-Energy remix, which I have, because I bought it this year on one of the Romanian music compilation CDs I got from my visit to Romania.Go ahead and definitely get this CD, it's worth it! I just wish there was more publicity in U.S. for bands like this one (O-Zone).ROMANESTE:Primul cintec romanesc (cu versuri in romaneste) care a ajuns la nr. 1 peste tot in Europa in vara aceasta (2004). Eu sint din Romania si am cumparat acest cintec anul trecut intr-o vacanta in Romania. Dar anul acesta cind am fost din nou in vizita in Romania, am aflat ca acest grup, O-Zone este cunoscut acum in toata Europa. Hit-ul lor a ajuns nr. 1 in Italia, Germania, si nr. 3 in Marea Britanie. A ajuns de fapt si in Billboard pt. Dragostea Din Tei (Original Romanian Version) 3:33
2. Dragostea Din Tei (Almighty Mix) 6:58
3. Dragostea Din Tei (DJ Ross Extended Remix) 6:22
4. Dragostea Din Tei (Unu In The Dub Mix) 3:39

"This song is perhaps the best dance song all year. The fact that it's not in English doesn't even matter when you're listening to it. The song itself just captivates you with its catchy chorus "mai-aa-hii" and fantastic "get up and shake ya ass" beat. If you've ever liked pop, dance, r&b, euro, any kind of music you'll LOVE this song. I'd recommend it to anyone age 12 to age 50."
