Aim right for Novillero. A gem from Canada

"'Aim Right For The Holes In Their Lives' basically combines melodic power-pop with mariachi-style trumpets, and Novillero pull it off quite well, almost in the same way The Boo Radleys successfully fused Britpop with horns. The best description would be Sloan or The New Pornographers meeting Blood Sweat And Tears and Chicago, with trumpets and keyboards periodically appearing like splashes of colour on a music canvas. Yet Novillero has more depth than gloss, treading into The Dears-like intensity and urgency. Overall 'Aim Right For The Holes In Their Lives' is strong and polished, dynamic and well-produced. It's really worth a listen."
