A long-awaited CD featuring the Canadian tango nuevo quintet Norteno! Norteno was a revelation at the 1999 Panamerican Games in Winnipeg, performing at the request of the Embassy of the Republic of Argentina before 20,000 spectators. Norteno is an unrivalled interpreter of Astor Piazzolla's works, using the original quintet formation of bandoneon, piano, violin, electric guitar and double bass. They also perform original works written by members of the ensemble.
