Gronostay and the NCC = spectaular performance

"Once again, the Netherlands Chamber Choir (aka Nederlands Kamerkoor) under the direction of Uwe Gronostay (pronounced OO-vay GRAH-nah-Stay) have produced a fabulous recording. The NCC's singing is very expressive, is well balance, exhibits healthy technique, and is very attentive to the text and its character. Overall, the performance is splendid. Beyond the performance, the choral repertoire represented on this CD is gorgeous. For those that are unfamiliar with Wolf's choral output, this CD presents nearly all of Wolf's choral compositions. And each is a gem in its post-Wagnerian romanticism. A must have for scholars and conductors wishing to have a reference recording of Wolf's choral music, and a must have for lovers of choral music in general. Beautiful."
