Nemesis, originally known as "Something Fresh", just hit the D/FW hard with the 1st release, "To Hell & Back". The original lineup: DJ Snake, Big Al, Cassanova Roc, MC Azim & Bumble Bee. It started with "The All Hearty Def Party Radio Show" on KNON FM in Dallas with Snake, Big Al & Cassanova Roc... I also was a DJ for the station. (Check the song "Oak Cliff" for the DJ Curly shot-out) I had an opportunity to be the DJ for the group, but due to previous obligations, it didn't work out.
After the second CD, "Munches For Your Bass" dropped, Nemesis was dubbed "The Texas Kings of Bass", & rightfully so... They became one of the originators of Texas Bass!! Audio stores around the country were using thier CDs to test thier concert speakers! Nemesis played a huge part in developing the D/FW Hip Hop culture. This is where it all started!! Big ups!!!" |
