CD Reviews

Great Interview for True Natalie fans
cryssy525 | United States | 02/04/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is an interview with Natalie Merchant, from before the 10,000 Maniacs 'Our Time In Eden'. Among many topics, she speaks about the 10,000 Maniacs origins, and reflects a lot on popular music and radio. The interview lasts about half an hour. For a devoted Natalie fan, like myself it is simply a must have, but keep in mind there is NO music on this cd, only an interview with Natalie from long before she left the Maniacs."
Interesting interview from her 10KM days.

"The title of the CD is a little misleading, since it suggests that this is an interview with Natalie Merchant as a solo artist. The 1996 release date further complicates this appearance. However, this is an interview, about 30 minutes in length, that was recorded shortly after 10,000 Maniacs' In My Tribe (1987) was released. It is very interesting however, and fans of 10,000 Maniacs should enjoy it. It should be noted that this CD is a "picture disc", with a full color picture of Natalie sent against a black background on the face of the CD. It should also be noted that there are no musical recordings at all on this CD."
Wonderful interview, yet a little boring...

"Natalie shows enthusiasm about the interview. Discussing her 10,000 Maniacs career, it is a little troublesome to understand her words. Some information is great, some is dull. I am a true fan of hers, but this album just didn't make me happy."
