CD Reviews

Nadiya's brand of R&B is an echelon above American standards

"When I heard about an artist named Nadiya on a pop-music blog I was intrigued enough to download her song "Tous Cet Mots". That was enough to convince me to buy the album. This Euro-tinged rap/rock song is only the tipe of the ice-berg of what a great album this is. I usually don't buy R&B music but Nadiya actually can sing, she deserves much more recognition than she has now. All of the songs are great, and it's refreshing that they aren't samey. Some are more rock oriented, some R&B with guest rappers but all are very well done. Nadiya sings mostly in French but some in English, her great voice transcends language.

The French PWN American popular music."
Best Album Ever

"When I first heard of this artist in early 2006, I was amazed at how good her music was. She has a really great voice and not to mention how great her music sounds. She has become one of my top three favorite artist. Her song "Tous Ces Mots" starts of the album very good. As you hear the album you'll notice the nice flow it has. From rock to pop to rapping, and singing in French, English and Spanish, this album is a must have. The outro, "Mektoub", is amazing as she dedicates it to her son Yanis. My friends who thought I was crazy for hearing a language I don't even understand, started to like her music and now they have them on their iPods. This change their view on this artist as it will change yours once you hear it."
