"Let's face it, bands of the Eighties (with few exceptions) ruined a whole generation's perception of what music can be. Musical complexity, beauty and spiritual substance were, for the most part, abandoned for fashion sense and emotional emptiness. Clearlight has come to bring us back to the far out days when music was both intelligently written and pleasurably listen-able. This NOLA All-Star instrumental band combines the looseness of Southern jam rock with psychedelic spacey-ness, and solidifies it with heavy Sabbath-style riffs and the funky swamp boogie. This album is a rich stew of good tyme music that is subsequently visceral and contemplative. In a matter of measures, the Mystick Krewe can voyage between a smoky biker bar to the edge of the universe. It's a trip, baby!"

"This New Orleans band is simply incredible. If you ever get the chance to see them live, jump on it. They totally jam. This will definitely appeal to fans of Captain Beyond, the Allman Brothers, Led Zepplin, and other blues rock bands. These guys take all the aformentioned bands, and cram them with blunt heaviness. Check this one out!!!!"

"NO LYRICS... just six assorted super-tasty jams. Grab your favorite bong (just kidding) kick back and enjoy the flavor. But seriously, this is a great CD of extended heavy jams, with great drumming and great guitar work. There are also a bit of keyboards on this CD, which typically I do not care for in the least, but the keyboards are never put in the forefront, and given the fact there are no lyrics the keyboards do complement the compositions nicely. If you like jam bands, have the needed attention span, and don't mind bobbing your head for about fifty minutes, you will almost certainly enjoy this CD. I highly recommend it.
