Synopsis

Album Description
Shade' was recorded in the south of France with a mobile studio in a large secluded villa. The venue was not as it turned out the ultimate recording luxury. The World Cup was in full swing and televised, with wives and girlfriends getting bored and restless. The heat was stiffling being particularly oppressive at night and the musicians had to spend all the time in the shade so that they could actually get anything done, hence the name of the album. Included in the line up was Geoffrey Richardson from Caravan who along with some very talented musicians created a great sound. The album has been lovingly mastered with carefully chosen artwork and Murray has written the sleeve notes. Included in the line up is Geoffrey Richardson from Caravan .

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Murray Head is a quasi-legendary late 60's , early mid-70's singer -songwriter who is truly dear to my heart!!He rose to early fame singing the lead song , in the "Jesus Christ..Superstar musical/show...people began to notice his exceptional vocal gifts!!Later on , after many moderately successful solo albums , Murray ventured , also, into an acting career...this particular album/c.d. ..is questionably his prime work(along with"Say it ain't so".a truly classic album!)"Peace of mind", .."Corporation corridors", "All we can do is hold on",.."Joey's on fire"(excellent stuff) , "Dragonfly"(beautiful, beautiful song & lyric)..and the epic "Shades of the prison house"..an amazing piece of songwriting, here.....all these excellent songs have truly stood the important 'test-of-time' since first recorded!!This is one excellent album/c.d.!!!(P.S...aNY CHANCE OF LIVE DATES IN eNGLAND IN THE NEAR FUTURE, MURRAY??PLLLEASE!!!...BUY !!!!"
