"This is a great CD to chill too! The vibe is definitely R&B, but I hear other elements too like hip hop, jazz, and gospel. It's obvious he has alot of different influences. His singing really stands out on this CD and you can tell this man grew up in the church by the power of his voice. I really liked the first song Hugs and Kisses. It kind of reminded me of Nora Jones,the jazz singer..can't remeber the name of her song though... but in an R&B way. He definitely has his own style - AHHHHH....a breath of fresh air! My favorites where Hugs and Kisses, If You Only Knew,When I Remember and Suppa Duppa Luv."

"This guy will blow your mind. As if his voice wasn't enough, his songs are just as tight. Everyone of them have something to say.. a story..a mood. .My favorite of the album is "WHEN I REMEMBER", but I also really like "GUILTY OF THE CRIME" - an uptempo smooth vibe with nice lyrics! I can't say there are any bombs on this CD, but just one good song after another. Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed! And oh yeah...check FLYIN' WITHOUT WINGS...NICE!"

"Outstanding project... If you only knew,Rain On Me, & especially When I Remember, are all instant classics in my opinion... This artist has the rare quality of being able to sound like more than one artist while still carving out his own identity... He reminds me of artist like Gary Brown Of Da' Soul Recordings with the smoothness of his vocals & of "J", of Two Brothers Records, with his debut cd Take Me As I Am, with the awesome writing... CDBaby is the bomb for independant artist!! Motif, I will definately be picking up your project!! Much success!! Wordz. Ps Good looking out on Jarrard Anthonys site... Thats how I found you!!
Side note. I did pick up his CD and it has been well worth the purchase. I wrote this review quite sometime ago and sadly, Motif is on longer with us... What a tragic loss to the music world from this very talented young man. RIP MOTIF. Peace, Wordz.
