Don't miss out Boys and Ghouls!

"This is not just a Halloween party compilation album. This is a must have for anyone who digs on surf, rockabilly, garage bands or just plain wacky music.Scary surf riffs, creepy rockabilly, hardcore punk, grim garage bands, and hellish hot rod tunes make for one killer album, regardless of the season. The whole CD is a strong comp from the folks at Musick. Deadbolt brings us the necrophiliac tinged "Billy's Dead," a deadpan riff which sets out to inform us that Billy might just be better off in a George Romero movie. Freddy Fortune & The Fore Gone Conclusions sing about hot rod hearses in "Dracula's Deuce," and Satan's Pilgrims bring to life "Frankenstomp". Los Straitjackets, Boss Martians, Space Cossacks, The Bambi Molesters, the Hellbenders' and The Omega Men, among others, are also lurking on this killer comp.Since I've gotten this CD, it's laid in rest permanently in my CD player, rising from the dead to thrill me again and again. It's got a nice blend of lighthearted creepy songs and darker spooky tunes that makes it a perfect candidate for the "repeat" button on my CD player. The jacket art has the same great feel as the music: Wacky, creepy, hot rod, kustom kulture fun! As I've said, if you dig on surf, rockabilly, garage bands or just plain wacky music, do not miss out on adding this to your collection!"
FAMOUS MONSTERS!

"Can this cool indie label do no wrong? MuSick is one of my favorite new labels and I've been waiting for this compilation for some months now. It's finally here and it delivers BIG. First off, the artwork is AMAZING(! )- the most colorful monsters, ghouls and goblins painting I have seen a while, almost breathtaking. The artist, Mitch O' Connell, is supposedly a very well-known artist. This is the first time I have seen his work and will look for more, for sure. Now to the music. It couldn't be any better. "Monster Party 2000" has 22 tracks and you'd be hard pressed not to find something to like here. Many cool genres of music are present and all lend themselves very well to Halloween or monster music: Garage rock n roll, hard rock, punk rock, and the always cool, "spooky" surf instrumentals. The CD starts off with a short version of "The Munsters Theme" with lots of fuzz guitar and organ creepiness, then it goes to right to my favorite modern surf band- SATAN'S PILGRIMS! The Pilgrims rock on "Frankenstomp", a big Pacific North West stomper with reverbed chords of guitar plowing along while the rhythm section keeps it in check- especially the drummer, pounding the skins like only a "muscle head" like Frankenstein could. THE BOSS MARTIANS are next with a very cool vocal number, "Have You Ever Seen?", with a great guitar part (fuzz guitar again), creepy "Munsters" organ and a good Halloween story to go with it. I could write about every song on "Monster Party 2000", but I'd be here forever, so I'll just mention some of the highlights on this excellent release: SPACE COSSACKS' "Transylvanian Orbit (Romanian Dance of the Undead)" [excellent Romanian surf fest- very fast and mysteriously familiar]; HYPNOMEN's "Pendulum" [picture a demented Deep Purple after indulging in an acid fest, aided by a loud "mad" cow bell]; TIKI TONES' "Daddy Long Legs" [late 60's Austin Powers-type swingin' sounds]; BAMBI MOLESTERS' "Theme from Slaying Beauty" [beautifully scary instrumental with rich layers of tremoloed guitars and a sexy bass line]; THE MADEIRA's "Theme from Young Frankenstein" [wonderful surf version of the main theme for Mel Brook's classic 1974 film]; ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN's "Already Dead" [hard rock horror madness]; COBRAJETS' "Roadside Cross" [Motorhead and early Nuge' meet punk rock] and THE CHIMPS' "It's the Mummy" [picture early Stones, drunk and naughty, covering this classic song from the still-cool film "Mad Monster Party"). The other songs are excellent too. In fact, this CD could be my favorite compilation ever. Yes, I love Halloween, but "Monster Party 2000" is all of this and more- a collection of fun, creepy, moody and rocking tunes (22 of them!)....and monsters, too! What more could you want? Nothing....it's all here. Get it now!"
Fantastic swingin sounds to rock your crypt.

"This is a great cd and features a ton of cool artists. There isn't a track on this disc that I didn't like. Another bonus is that it's "clean", meaning there's no profanity, so it's safe for kids (I have nieces and nephews who just love this disc!). All in all a solid buy, especially if you are a fan of monster ngarage and surf rock, but tired of hearing Monster Mash covered ad nauseum."
