2-step this is your leader

"AFTER A SHORT STUDIO CAREER AS THE MOST PROFICIENT REMIXER IN THE UK DANCE SCENE, CLASSICALLY TRAINED COLE HAS TURNED HIS ATTENTION TO MORE ORIGINAL SOUNDS. THE ALBUM OPENS WITH SPARSE PIANO AND SOON WIDENS TO SOME OF THE MOST LUSH SOUNDS THAT YOU WILL HEAR. THE LISTENER IS TAKEN ON A GUIDED TOUR OF THE CREAM OF UK GARAGE AND 2-STEP. COMPLETE WITH VOCAL HITS FANTASTIC MINIMAL PERCUSSION TRADEMARK STRINGS AND SEXY VOCALS BY SOME OF THE SCENES TOP MCS AND SINGERS. TOP THIS OFF WITH BASSLINES THAT WILL SCARE YOUR GRANDMOTHER. THE SINGLES HAVE BEEN GIVEN HEAVY ROTATION BY DJS FROM ALL DANCE SCENES, WITH THE REMIXES BY MARCUS INTALEX AND TODD EDWARDS TEARING APART DRUM & BASS AND HOUSE PARTIES WORLDWIDE. ,MUST LISTEN TRACKS INCLUDE THE SINGLES SINCERE AND CRAZY LOVE, AS WELL AS THE HEAVY RAGGA INSPIRED BANDELERO DESPERADO. MJ COLE IS A MAN OF THE MOMENT, AND YOU WILL HEAR MORE ABOUT HIM."
Stylistically hip and smooth

"I have M2 to thank for getting me into this relatively unknown artist (at least in the US). I caught a glimpse of pure heaven when I saw the video for "Crazy Love". Garage, or two-step as it is known sounds like drum & bass mixed with the smooth melodies and vocals of r&b. Definitely something I normally don't hear on the radio. The copy of "Sincere" I picked up included two remixes of "Sincere" and "Crazy Love". I am not a huge drum & bass because of the minimalist beats and melodies but two step or garage I can dig. The music has killer beats while the listener can sink their teeth right into the melodies which are catchy enough to keep this listener happy. I thoroughly enjoyed what I heard and am interested in this new subgenre of dance music."
A Stylistically Superlative Album

"MJ Cole - 'Sincere' I think his name will be associated with cool, fresh, and style for some time. He is the first garage artist star and breakout. And proudly to say, he is a true and all around musician--classically trained, plays several instruments, and is a superb mixer, engineer, remixer and of course much has been made of his brilliant production skills, which adds so much flare to 'Sincere.' And he's also a DJ. Garage is a genre classified under dance music, yet because his compositions have an actual structure, they are looked up upon, unlike much of the derivative dance music being pumped out, as music to stand the test of time. 'Sincere' isn't just dance music, isn't just soul, electro, gospel, R&B, hip-hop, or funk. It is a combination of all that and other things unique to Matt Cole--this debut album and the music from it will be in the music history books. It is just beautiful. It is uplifting. And it's deeply emotional. So keep a look out for his US release on April 17! ..."
