Synopsis

Album Description
This re-issue falls on the heels of Miranda's massively successful feature length film, "Me And You And Everyone We Know", which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and received a special jury prize for originality of vision. This record showcases Miranda's powerful believability to her made-up stories of traveling back in time to prevent her parents from meeting, to her own habitual lying. July has no genre and no boundaries. Listen with headphones in the dark of your room at night.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Miranda July has been quoted as calling herself an "entertainer," but she's more like a hypnotist - I've listened to "10 Million Hours a Mile" more times than I can count. Her first full-length album has more tracks than her second, "The Binet-Simon Test," and a fresher, less synthesized believability to her made-up stories of traveling back in time to prevent her parents from meeting ('Hotel Voulez-Vous') to her own habitual lying ('How's My Driving?'). Definitely buy this album, regardless of the kind of music you normally listen to. Miranda July has no genre and no boundaries. Listen with headphones in the dark of your room at night."
