Fleta: A truly magnificent tenor- cheap

"A very good quality compilation at a very good price- part of the nibus prima voce series of which I have many items.

Miguel Fleta was a tenor of magnificent ability: virile as a Corelli but with a more beautiful tone in addition to a nearly effortless top. The voice is nearly identical from top to bottom. Listne to the first aria from La Favorita- he walks up to a high C# effortlessly and with a totally full sound that seems not to modify at any point along the way. Also his morendo is almost unbelievable- pulling off of high c's like young di Stefano but without the vocal flaws. Apparently, Fleta has a few critics, but I cannot imagine why.

How can you possibly go wrong with a tenor this good at a price like this?"
