"I think this recording is astonishing. The violins, the orchestra, the chorus seem to be impregnated with the beauty of this music, so fresh, so innocent, so young. This is music for those who believe in the effrontery of youth, the creativeness that Mendelssohn dared to show when he was a teenager and that has survived up to now. I agree with another reviewer that Mendelssohn was the Mozart of the 19th century. This music is as bold as Romanticism was. I enthusiasticly recommend this recording."
