Toonful is Tuneful!

"It is always a treat to find an excellent children's CD that is listenable to adults. Michelle Nicastro's voice is perfect for such a setting, lending her pure vocals in an enthusiastic and captivating manner. Danny Meyers' musical arrangements add to the fun, with his creative orchestrations on "The TV Toon Medley," beginning with "Mighty Mouse" and slamming to the dazzling finish with "Flintstones." (What a great idea! TV cartoons are just as dear to children and adults as Disney movies.) Also, Meyers' combined "When You Wish Upon a Star" and "I'm Wishing" is such a smooth arrangement that the listener may wonder why no one had thought of combining the songs before! But it is Michelle Nicastro's voice that carries the show. Just listening to her "Cruella De Vil" version makes you realize that she could be a great jazz vocalist as well as a pop singer; her "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast is another standout, with her feisty declaration "I want so more much than they've got planned!" Indeed, the listener will have more than expected with this volume of children's classic songs!"
