CD Reviews

Michael Hampton! Way Overdue!

"This is a incredibe CD. Michael Hampton has to be one of the greatest guitar players in the music industry. Should have released a solo joint many years ago. Jimi, Eddie Hazel, Van Halen, would all be proud of this genius. Funk is on the one and all over this master guitarist debut CD! P-funk would not be the P without Michael Hampton!! Great CD!!!!"
Heavy on Metal and not on Funk

"This CD was not worth all the money I paid for it. Hampton could have left "Funkasson" out of the title. I was expecting to hear something that sounded at least as good as Axiom Funk or Some of Eddie's material. I felt like I was robbed. I also lightened my comments in respect of Amazon's review guidelines."
Funk on my son

"michael hampton is a legend, trained from the maggot brain school of funk, and it shows here-mike has been around since 1974 playing with p-funk-check out hardcore jollies, one nation under a groove cd and knee deep, and you'll learn mike ain't no joke.mr. hampton is underrated which is a shame. buty the whole cd is funk acid rock at it's best. mike just blazes the guitar in solo after solo, his mentor george clinton even stops by and puts his 2 cents in.this is how p-funk should have sounded all along but was never given the chance, so if any funkateers like mike on hardcore joolies, knee deep, lunchmeataphobia, funk get ready to roll, ewho says a funk band can't play rock. this is definetly for you."
