An Open Letter to Michael Buble

"Dear Michael,
When are you going to grow up and make full albums? This was unforgivable, a five-song CD! Come on! Maybe you had to rush it out to the stores in time to cash in on the Christmas season, but that was last year. You've had plenty of time to flesh it out. You've got the voice, you've got the arrangers, you've got the band. A really good swinging Christmas album would be a winner. But no, not you...
You're becoming too infamous for rip-off projects: an album with only seven songs, but (whoopee!) a DVD section that shows snippets of you looking terribly uncomfortable in ersatz music videos. Then you release the same seven songs interspersed with songs by Sinatra (who would have had you dunked in the river with cement shoes had be been alive to see this marketing stratagem!).
Other albums are re-released with one or two new songs, as if you think the average record buyer is going to shell out the bucks to have the same material that you've already released on two other albums.
Come on, Michael: do the job right...or maybe fire your manager and find one who knows what to do with you. Or soon you may join Ricky Martin in the League of Leftovers."
Superb!

"Hey, Michael...you may be dreaming of a White Christmas, but I'm dreaming of this CD being about 6-7 songs longer.
This is my all-time favorite Christmas CD...beautiful renditions..."

"Love all the five songs and I believe all his renditions were the best versions I heard. He sang with such passion and he has a melodious cool voice that gives the songs such a breezy feel. I particularly love his version of Grown-Up Christmas List, the way he phrased the words was impeccable and soothing. Buy this thing right now, the only complain I have is why only 5 songs? I want to hear more.
