CD ReviewsA must have for Mellow Candle fans Strat_Lvr | 11/04/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "Just like their album "Swaddling Songs," which this CD "The Virgin Prophet" has most or all of the songs that appeared on their one and only album from 1972, this is a collection of unreleased gems from 1969-1970, and they're demo versions recorded well before their album came out. The arrangements are a little different, more up-tempo, but still excellent. The music and the singing of both Alison Williams and Clodagh Simonds is beautiful, and if you've heard and have "Swaddling Songs," then you must get this for your collection. It may be different from the original LP, but I'm still giving this one 4 stars, it's absolutely wonderful music, and the tracks that didn't appear on the original album are wonderful as well.
