CD Reviews

BackField in Motion
Luverne Harden | 01/26/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I met Mel some thirty plus years ago on my first surf trip "off the mainland" to Hawaii. We all partied together while staying at the same dumpy hotel and Mel would usually wind up singing Backfield in Motion (pre-release back in 1967) after having a few belts of whatever we might be consuming. It was a good tune back then and I still enjoy listening to his, and cousin Tim's, music. Good solid music, you will enjoy as much as I have over the years !!!"
Best of The Sixties
Luverne Harden | Calumet City, Illinois United States | 12/05/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This was THE best group of the sixties. Mel & Tim was an ufforgettable duo that stormed the sixties with a unique style of music that stood out from the rest. Who can forget "Backfield in Motion", "Mail Call Time", I'm Your Puppet", and all the rest. I was in college during their music career and remember the great times I had with my dorm sisters and other classmates listening to the music of Mel & Tim. They were the greatest."
