CD Reviews

Good addition to "At The Center"
Grunt Hog | Vancouver, Canada | 12/19/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"If you liked MBM's "At the Center" and are left wanting more when the disc plays out, then this EP is for you. Personally, I think the jazzy direction MBM took with that album was one of their most refreshing and enjoyable experiments yet, so this EP has been a welcome addition to my collection.

I agree with the previous reviewer, however, that most of these tracks should simply have been included on "At The Center" in the first place to make it a more complete album; tracks 2-4 would have been perfectly at home on the album, while the live stuff is kind of unnecessary (save it for a live album, Jack!) and the remix of Wild, while not bad, is not as gripping as the original."
Nice addition.

(4 out of 5 stars)

"After listening to "At The Center" several times I liked it, but it sounded unfinished. On this single there are tracks that continue the direction that Jack Dangers is heading. In my opinion, I would of included these tracks (minus the live recordings) and called "At The Center" a complete album. It's a pretty good single with some great tracks like "Postcards." Meat Beat Manifesto puts out great music, bottom line. So if you are a devoted fan you will like this music. Why four stars? Well, there are only three tracks of new material."
