Alex Masi's Best Work To Date

"I've always listened to Alex Masi mostly due to sick curiosity. I was never really impressed with his abilities as a guitar player (always kind of viewing him as a poor man's Yngwie Malmsteen) until now. Previous albums such as "Fire In the Rain", "Downtown Dreamers", "Attack of the Neon Shark", "Verticle Invader", etc all showcase fast yet very sloppy guitar solos and horrible tone. Imagine my surprise when I picked up "Eternal Struggle"! This album blew me away! Alex has transcended all others to become one of the most amazing, smooth, accurate, and passionate players I've ever heard! I would recommend this album to anybody who likes great rock music! Alex really mixes it up and does some of the most creative guitar tricks I've ever heard! The production quality is a relief as well, as "The Watcher" and "Tales From The North" sounded as though they were produced by a deaf guy using aliminum cans as speakers (even though both albums feature some fantastic songs)! I have to give props to Masi's singer as well. This guy has some pipes! He's not some cheesy heavy metal screamer. He's got a great and expressive voice, and it compliments the music perfectly!"
