CD Reviews

5 stars?

(5 out of 5 stars)

"5 stars does not do this CD justice. This is a must buy for any fan of the bass guitar. I bought this CD because I'm a big fan of Martin's and I had an opportunity to get an autographed copy. I thought Martin was pretty much out of music and maybe he cut this because he needed the money. I should have know he would not put out a substandard product. The six string parts are also outstanding but you won't here the "twin lead" if your familiar with his previous work. In my eyes Martin, your the undisputed champion of the electric bass guitar! Please come across the pond and give us a treat. Fly'n Geo"
Ex Wishbone Ash bassists first solo venture

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Martin Turners first solo project is basically a collection of Demos....but don't let that put you off! the production is superb, the music,a bit 'eighties' in places but on the whole, a fine collection of (mostly)original songs. The one duff track, to my ears, is 'broken down house',hence only four stars. Wishbone Ash fans also get to hear original versions of 'in the skin' and 'somethings happening in room 602' (titled on this album as'kelly's away with the fairies'). Don't expect to hear Twin harmony guitars though, this album is not 'son of Argus' but for a first solo effort it is quite impressive! Try it...you might like it!"
