CD Reviews

A definite collector's item.

(4 out of 5 stars)

"The Inertiatic ESP single contains two audio tracks-one of the radio single of "Inertiatic ESP" (meaning that Son et Lumiere, first track of De-loused in the Comatorium was blended into it), and another of a live XFM session of "Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of)". The live XFM session is very high quality and does not disappoint. They even include some of the ambient noises you would hear on The Mars Volta's live set. The CD also includes the video of "Inertiatic ESP", although frankly this is not the greatest video I have ever seen. It does give you some face time with members of the band besides Cedric and Omar though, if that interests you. Another thing to note about this CD is that it contains a biography/article and photo gallery that you can view on your computer. And perhaps the niftiest thing is that it comes with a little postcard of the head floating in water as an insert. This CD is very worth getting your hands on if you're a The Mars Volta completist, but if you're new to the band it may not be for you."
Worth it
