"Finally after all these long years of waiting, the second official record of the boys form Ireland, the legendary Mc Manus Brothers, have seen the light on cd. Rare editions, and prices as high as 200 dollars on internet sites reveal how great it was and the status of cult favorite. Great riffs, great choruses, anhthemic harmonies, and heavy and melodic all the same.

Not Bad

"I picked this album up in the 80's in Spain and maybe listened to it twice and shelved it until 2009 when I burned it to CD.

When I heard the first song, the first thing I thought of was Def Leppard. As the album progressed, it was apparent this is hair metal, though the boys don't look the part. At times, I was also reminded of Picture's Every Story Needs Another Picture.

Almost every song is heavy on vocals, has that hair metal snare drum sound, and an anthemic feel. There is nothing wrong with that, except the song I found the most appealing is The Professor II, which is an instrumental.

I'm really surprised they didn't get bigger. Then again, if anyone else got the same impression I did, they might have dismissed them as a Def Leppard clone. Maybe it's just me.

Anyway, despite what my ranting may suggest, this is good music, top notch musicianship, and excellent vocals. The songs are okay, and the sound is, well... hair metal. If you like that musical genre, you have to check this album out. I think it stands above the crowd. Recommended.
