"Brother Mack Stevens is on fire with his Rollin' Rock releases. First it was this album. Then the Hardcore Texas Cat Music CD. And now in 2000, he burns us with Texas Heat. All solid discs that you should own. Buy his discs. See him in concert. Fear him a little, love him a lot."
Not actually a [LIVE] album

"Amazon's description includes the [LIVE] designation. Not so. This is a studio album, not recorded in a nightclub before an audience. Like lots of rockabilly albums, this Mack Stevens CD was recorded in a LIVE style . . . meaning the band gathers around the recording gear and plays. This simple style differs from modern, big budget recordings where tracks are overdubbed and such. Why concentrate on this fact? Because live recordings are sometimes pretty awful. You tend to have crappy sound and dragged out versions of hits. That isn't the case here. Buy with confidence. If you want a live version of Mack Stevens, make sure you catch him in concert. You will love that, too."
Yee-haw!
