Since 2004, Lynn Jackson has been quietly releasing albums and touring across the country to a fair bit of acclaim both in print and on the radio. Drawing comparisons to Patty Griffin and Alison Krauss, Lynn's soulful brand of roots music has been picking up fans wherever she goes. `Coming Down' is her 5th cd and it is a bit different. It is a departure from her usual rootsy fare, and the experimental edge of Soft Stars (2008), revealing her fondness for straight ahead pop songs, slow-burning blues numbers and a few surprises in between.
