CD ReviewsTwo excellent conertos well-performed 05/06/2001 (4 out of 5 stars) "This CD contains two cello concertos from the two great 20th Century Polish composers...but you already knew that.What you didn't know was that Torleif Thedeen does a terrific job in the interpretation. He truly brings out the fear and anger that is inherent in this piece (considered by some to be autobiographical). Penderecki gets the same care and attention.The orchestra is very sympathetic to what Thedeen is doing as well.Admittedly, it'd be nice if this CD were cheaper, and there are a few other CDs of these concerti that are somewhat better. However, this is still an excellent way to go."
