Stong chill-out collection that wants to actually chill

"You know the problem we've been running into: you walk through the store's electronic music section, looking for something laid-back to chill-out to. You see all of the CD covers sporting martini glasses and funky furniture in little rooms, cases that flaunt titles like "Ultimate Chillout" or "Smooth techno". You go out on a limb, you buy the CD, you take it home. You put it on and then - wham! - something decidedly UN-chill comes blasting out the speakers. Not that it's bad, but it's certainly a bit of false advertising, to say the least. This CD doesn't suffer from this dilemma. They say lounging, they mean lounging.A strong collection of cats who've been around a minute and some you may not have heard of, none of it boring, get this for your smooth-out gathering or just to read ro entertain someone special to. It's just jazzy and funky enough not to be ambient, and just good enough to not have to bounce through tracks incessantly. My only complaint is that there's only 10 tracks for what has increasingly become a standard CD price, often offering more tracks. Okay, and #3 is a little jumpy for a chill-out, but it's actualy a "lounging" record, and man has it got smooth edges.Standout Tracks
