CD Reviews

A pleasant surprise

"i was skeptical of this CD from the start. i enjoyed the single "Juliet" but after the disapointment of the O-town CD I wasn't confident that this would be good. I was pleasantly surprised to find an amazing compilation of songs. I recomend this for anyone who enjoys pop music. It is an amazing first effort by LMNT and I hope to hear more. Here is a break down of the songs:
1: Girl Crazy- the title is a little strange but the song has a good beat and a catchy chorus. one of the best songs on the CD
2: Juliet- we've all heard this song. upbeat, very catchy.
3: Get It All- a love song for sure. also an upbeat song. reminds me of early micheal jackson stuff. again, very catchy
4: The Best- a slow song about not being able to move on after having the best. very pretty song. LMNT sings very beautiful ballads
5: Forgot to Forget- strange title but a very pretty song. if has a medium tempo. the piano in the backgroud sounds great. could be a slow song but a beat in the background keeps it upbeat.
6: Shangri La- very much an R&B song. Tune reminds me of some Rap songs i've heard. lyrics aren't very good but the music makes up for it
7: Keep It Coming- similar to #5 but with a different beat. very catchy. something that could have been on the most recent 'N Sync album
8: Hold Me Down- again has an R&B feel. Great dance song. again very catchy. This is one of my favorite songs.
9: It's Your Love- an amazing ballad. I always want to find great ballads and this is one of them. The one good song from the O-town album was "All or Nothing". This gives me the same feeling. It's beautiful
10: Running Home- Yet another amazing ballad. This is also a beautiful song. Very similar to #9 but even better because it is more upbeat. If you've ever heard Westlife this will remind you of them
11: The Greatest Gift- The last song. They finish with an uptempo song. I think it's a great song. Pure pop which has a similar feel to "Juliet"As a final note I would like to say that I am not 12. I'm a 21 year old college student who loves all music. I listen to everything from 'N Sync to Linkin Park and everything in between. I would recomend this to pop fans or people who appreciate all types of music. Enjoy."

"Wow. This CD totally blew me away. I really liked these three guys on "Making The Band" so I thought I'd pick up their debut album and check it out. I was very pleasantly surprised. Their voices are amazing!! I really like "Juliet," "Running Home" "Greatest Gift" and especially "Girl Crazy." Jonas Persch was a great addition. The CD also has the music video for "Juliet" on it, with Jamie-Lynn Sigler from "The Sopranos." It's set in a laundromat. Kinda hard to explain but VERY cool."
