"His first solo release is fantastic; great to listen to when you are away on a long weekend or cannot get out of bed on a Saturday; just hit the repeat button. Great guitar work from master Robert Quine and LLoyd. Nothing But Blue skies is my favorite song - and very different from the others, but all rate 9 or 10."

"Be thankful Amazon has a cd used service so you can buy this out-of-print gem, which I believe with Don't Get Weird On Me, Babe, is tied for the greatest Lloyd Cole album ever. Both albums are seamless masterpieces maintaining moods of crooning melancholy. Sadly, recent Lloyd Cole albums have all sounded alike but this Lloyd Cole album, titled after his name, and Don't Get Weird On Me are his vintage works, foreshadowing the greatness of My Morning Jacket, who are now carrying Lloyd Cole's legacy of beautiful sounding crooners."
