This peaceful album is used by parents to help quiet hyperactive children, to assist themselves in going back to sleep in the middle of a difficult night, to relieve the stress of a busy day at a computer terminal, and for meditation. The absence of regular rhythm in the music allows a level of relaxation not achievable by more active music. Like the previous albums (Liquid Mind III: Balance, Slow World and Ambience Minimus), Liquid Mind IV: Unity is graceful, gentle, and healing. This music is designed to help you relax deeply, during meditation, rest, or in times of stress. Wow! These are commonly used remedies for sleeplessness. They leave me with a "hangover" of drowsiness the next day so I can't use them. Just as well, if they ultimately are associated with other problems. So I have discovered that Liquid Mind music works very well as an aid for sleeping when I am stressed or wakeful for some reason. I don't know HOW he does it, but Chuck Wild's compositions in Liquid Mind CD's seem to rest your brain and lull it into a deep and restful slumber. In fact, I discovered Liquid Mind while listening to "SPA" on XM-Sirius. Some crazy DJ scheduled this to play DURING DRIVE TIME! Yes! I was trundling down the highway, listening to that New Age channel during morning when I normally am wide awake, and I felt sleepy. Huh! What was this music? Liquid Mind? What the heck? When I went home and checked it out on Amazon, I discovered it's a sleep or relaxation aid. DO NOT PLAY THIS while driving or operating machinery. It WILL make you sleepy. So now, I happily play this on my MP3 player before bed and it sends me off to sleep in a few minutes. Or I listen for a 20 minute nap after lunch. OR....it works for massage or just chilling out. If you add an eye shade, you can get incredible relaxation by just leaning back in a comfy chair. Or the seat on a cramped and noisy airplane during a long flight. Or if you have trouble sleeping in hotel rooms. All drug-free. Pretty sweet. Most of the Liquid Mind are similar, but after a time, I collected more of the albums because a few of the compositions are very lovely and I like the variety when I listen to them night after night."
