Raven presents two classic, original country-rock albums by Grammy Award winning singer LINDA RONSTADT, one of the most popular American performers of the past 35 years. Her last two albums for Capitol, Linda Ronstadt (1972) and the multi-platinum selling Heart Like a Wheel (1974) established her position as one of the pre-eminent American singers of the decade. Linda had already been a member of LA folk-rock group the Stone Poneys ('Different Drum') and recorded two solo albums when in 1971 she linked up with Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner (soon to become the Eagles) to record Linda Ronstadt. It was a significant release in the early growth of the Californian country rock movement. Under the direction of ace producer Peter Asher and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Gold, the Heart Like a Wheel album became a massive seller, reaching #1 in 1975 as did the memorable singles 'You're No Good' (#1 Pop) and 'When Will I Be Loved?'
